We offer both group classes and private lessons for the textbooks shown below. Group classes are engaging as they allow students to learn together through games and activities. However, if you prefer a faster pace or find group lessons challenging, private lessons may be the better option. We can also arrange for a TA to help you prepare before meeting with your instructor.
Introductory Chinese Class
四五快读 [Fast Reading Chinese]
Fast Reading Chinese is a Chinese textbook designed to teach fundamental Chinese characters to children at a very young age. With a focus on developing reading skills, this textbook is an excellent resource for parents who want to help their children build a strong foundation in Chinese language and culture. Whether your child is a heritage speaker or a non-heritage speaker, Fast Reading Chinese is an excellent tool to help them excel in Chinese language learning.
In addition to our Chinese language classes, we also offer a TA (Teaching Assistant) service to help children who have no background in Chinese language. The TA service is available for both heritage and non-heritage language learners and can be arranged upon request. This additional support ensures that all children can benefit from our Chinese language classes, regardless of their previous exposure to the language.
HSK Chinese Classes : From Introductory to Advanced Levels [Non-native speaker]
HSK, or Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi, is a standardized test used to assess the Chinese language proficiency of non-native Chinese speakers. The test is divided into six levels, with level one being the most basic and level six being the most advanced.
Learning Chinese at a young age can give kids a competitive edge in the future job market, create opportunities for travel and cultural exchange, and improve their listening and pronunciation skills.
Our Chinese language classes are taught by experienced and qualified teachers who specialize in teaching Chinese as a second/foreign language. Our teachers are skilled at creating recorded lessons as well as meeting with students in groups to provide personalized instruction. For students who are just beginning to learn Chinese, we can also provide bilingual teaching assistants to help facilitate their learning.
Domestically Compiled Chinese Langauge Curriculum【国内部编语文课程】
The Domestically Compiled Chinese Language Curriculum is a specialized program designed for students from Chinese heritage families. Teachers in this program are native Chinese speakers who have extensive experience with the textbook chosen for the course. The curriculum follows the standard Chinese education system and aims to bring students up to the same level as their peers in China. In this class, students are expected to spend a certain amount of time each day in Chinese learning. To ensure the most effective learning experience, students are provided with both recorded lessons that they can complete on weekdays and synchronous online classes on the weekends.
Students who complete the elementary school level of our curriculum can reach HSK level 5 and be well-prepared to pass the AP Chinese exam with high scores. The middle school level of our curriculum builds on this foundation, expanding students' vocabulary and grammar knowledge to reach HSK level 6.
